IPI moves annual convention to spring 2019
IPI Member Network (IPI) has moved its annual Internationa Printing and Imaging Conference from its customary July timeframe to March 2-4, 2019. The location remains the M Resort in Henderson, Nev. IPI’s Director of Member Success, Brenda DiVencenzo, told The Dead Pixels Society the change came after a survey of members and supplying partners showed a preference for a spring event.
In March, attendees will enjoy cooler temperatures – compared the customary July sweltering heat – which may make the event more attractive to a new set of attendees, she said. “This is a great area for a vacation – the Grand Canyon isn’t far – and could give new people a chance to come.”
Other changes to the event include a $125-a-night room nights for up to 10 days, as well as two four-hour half-days for the trade show, compared to one long day. Education and networking events will be take place all days, as well. DiVencenzo added spreading the trade show over two half-days allows attendees to take more time to consider buying decisions.
